SCCI Delegation led by Mr. Chandi Raj Dhakal, Vice President (Nepal), SCCI Called on Hon’ble Prime Minister, Mr. Sher Bahadur Deuba, Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal

The Nepal Chapter of SCCI under the leadership of Mr. Chandi Raj Dhakal, Vice President (Nepal) SCCI called on Hon'ble Prime Minister, Mr. Sher Bahadur Deuba, Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, on August 5, 2021, in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Mr. Chandi Raj Dhakal, Vice President (Nepal) SCCI was accompanied by Mr. Shekhar Golchha, their objectives.

During the meeting, Mr. Chandi Raj Dhakal, Vice President (Nepal) SCCI, apprised the Hon’ble Prime Minter about SCCI’s initiatives against Covid-19pandemic. He requested Hon’ble Prime Minister of Nepal being the Chair of SAARC to use the influence of government of Nepal to convene SAARC Standing Committee meeting, which would help SAARC apex and recognized bodies to secure their status and help continue their activities as per their objectives.

Furthermore, Mr. Chandi Raj Dhakal expressed that the SCCI has played an imperative role in turning the potentials among the SAARC nations into opportunities and expanding business.

Similarly, President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Mr. Shekhar Golchha, said that the government should focus on revitalizing SCCI, as it possesses great potential to carry forward SAARC vision and business community of South Asia together with the member nations.

Hon’ble Prime Minister, Mr. Sher Bahadur Deuba, Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, during the meeting extended his full support towards SCCI mechanism and assured to take up the matter of registration status of the SAARC apex bodies in the upcoming Ministerial Meeting. “The government will positively advance the agenda you have brought” added Hon’ble Prime Minister.
