SCCI in collaboration with the National Expansion Plan of NIC and in partnership with Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) organized a two-day boot camp “National Entrepreneurship Summit” for early and mid-stage startups in Quetta, Pakistan, on October 23-24, 2021.

The objective of the boot camp was to provide entrepreneurs with access to learning and development opportunities that will jumpstart for them to step up into various business functions, along with equipping them with various knowledge and skills for their future. The total number of applications received were 103 out of which 40 startups were shortlisted to attend the summit.

The two-day National Entrepreneurship Summit was facilitated by three leading startup mentors, Mr. Usman Ahmed, Mr. Khalid Mir, Mr. Shakoor, and Mr. Faizan Laghari. Mentors coached the startups on topics of digital productivity tools, how to create a perfect pitch, lean startup methodology, and marketing and financial literacy for startups.

Mr. Bader Munir, Director Internal Affairs, SCCI welcomed the participants of the summit. While addressing, he gave a brief introduction of SCCI and underscored the importance of such events for engaging the startups with the progressive thinkers, influencers, and inspirational entrepreneurs. “You need to be creative and view an idea differently to be innovative. That way, it’s easier to turn a concept into a reality,” he further added.

While participating in the lectures and sessions, the participants continued working on their elevator pitches. The summit potentially created innovation pipelines and pathways for startups.

The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest, Honorable Ms. Androulla Kaminara, Ambassador of the European Union to Pakistan.
