SAARC CCI Delegation Call-on Honorable Governor Mr. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Governor of KPK, Pakistan

A delegation of 10 members led by Mr. Suraj Vaidya, President SAARC CCI, called on the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Engr. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra st the Governor House in Peshawar, KPK. The Governor assured the delegation of his full cooperation and support.

The Governor said that the SAARC region is one of the most densely populated in the world covering 23 percent of the world’s population. He commented that the SAARC CCI could play an instrumental role in identifying new markets, recognizing and managing risks and increasing trade between South Asian countries. He further reinforced that SAARC member countries should join hands and move forward.

Mr. Suraj Vaidya, President SAARC CCI, Vice President SAARC CCI (Nepal), Mr. Om Raj Bhandary, EC member (Bangladesh) Mr. Shafquat Haider along with delegates paid a visit to the Honorable Governor KPK Mr. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra.

Mr. Suraj Vaidya, President, SAARC CCI, reinforced that the private sector of the region is committed to socio economic integration of South Asia. He said that the business community of the region believes in harmony and advocates regional economic integration to address the major challenges the region faces including job creation and poverty. Mr. Vaidya added that deeper commitment at the political level is inevitable to make SAARC effective, realize its fundamental goals and unleash the true socio economic potential of the region.

During the visit, Mr. Suraj Vaidya, President SAARC CCI along with the delegates paid tribute to the martyrs of Army Public School (APS), Peshawar, Pakistan.
